Please join us for Evensong at the Abbey! The first Evensong of the 2018-2019 school year takes place on  Saturday, September 8th at 4 pm at St. Anselm’s Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in Northeast Washington, D.C.
Evening Prayer, or Evensong when chanted, is one of the glories of the Anglican patrimony. This year a Low Mass according to the Ordinariate’s Divine Worship Missal will be offered immediately after Evensong. After the services, there are refreshments and fellowship in the Saint Augustus Room at the monastery. It is a good way to get to know each other and become more familiar with the Benedictine tradition, which gave rise to many elements of Anglican worship.
Evening Prayer is the first Saturday of each month of the school year: September 8, October 6, November 3, December 1, January 5, February 2, March 2, April 6, and May 4.
